I know this is a really old post, but I’m hoping you still read this. I recently followed your tutorial, and some how, deleted my license.db file from my flash directory. It now has a 0kb file size. I have tried other files, but they all give me a device error. Could you possibly email me the original V7 1000 license.db file so that I can use my GPS again?

Hello Richard,
Can you please help me with using my MioMap, yesterday it gave a message “Exception occured callstack dumped to \crash.txt” I restarted the machine, reset it but still no sucess, can you please suggest me what can i do in this case?

I was doing this mod and somehow ruined all copies of the data.zip file that’s supposed to reside in Flash Disk/MyGuide. Do you think you could do me a favour and email it to me? Thanks in advance!!

hi guys found your forum while looking for a cd replacement i cant find my cd that came with my v7 nav 1000 if any one of you could kindly help me out been over a month now i had formated the sd to lend my girlfriend and now i am suffering no games no maps mine had us and canada please some one help me thanks or give me a link i will pay for it if the cost is reasonable. thaks pablo

I too am building my own PCB. I received a quote from OurPCB that is significantly lower than any state-side PCB house. In fact, they quoted 10 3″x5″ boards with soldermask and silkscreen for $100. Other PCB houses, such as 4PCB, have quoted me $100 PER BOARD.

So I wonder if OurPCB has the same quality issues you mentioned. Have you tried OurPCB yet? Do you know anybody who has?

Guys, I was wondering if someone can help me out here…
I got the V7 1000 which I had it updated over at the manufacturer last year with the new maps, got the new DVD, etc. The US maps work fine, except once coming from Florida the unit crashed and upon restart it wouldn’t display the navigation button. After it cooled down, it started working ok again.
I tried to modify the addons.txt but when I start the unit I get a message on a window called MyGuideLauncher with the following text: “Exception Occured, Callstack dumped to \crash.txt” and upon clicking the ok button the screen defaults to the initialization screed with the MyGuide logo.
Really what I want to do is to use the European maps I got from Igo software, not sure how to make them work. I am thinking to make the hardware change but as someone else posted here apparently there is no need to do that as long as you can explore the now “new windoze CE”. Thank you for your help!

I am having the exact same problem. my fuse keeps blowing. any reasons why??
